Itinerary details: From Riolo Terme take the SS 306 road in the direction of Palazzuolo sul Senio. Once past Casola Valsenio turn for Baffadi until you reach the church where you can park your car and take the CAI trail that goes up to the top of Monte Scappa (m. 495). From here head towards Monte Conazzo (m. 621). Before reaching the top you will find a crest that dominates over the valley and where you can see the top of Monte Battaglia. Here the trail splits – stay to the right until you reach the foot of Monte Battaglia. Continue until Canovazza where you follow the trail to the left that leads back to the starting point.
Additional information: The trail unwinds through bush land of mixed vegetation with downy oak, beech, chestnut, yoke elm, etc.
