Itinerary details: You can reach Monte Battagliola from Via Querceto which is the second street on the left after the Ristorante Al Parco, on the SS 306 which goes from Casola Valsenio to Riolo Terme. Leave the car in front of the farm house where the paved street finishes. From here go on foot and descend until you arrive at a typical country road which goes to a dilapidated road on which is written “Tossignano”. From here continue up hill until you reach a farm house called “Collina”. Once you finish the road going up, , turn right where there is an old kiosk and go down the ridge until you arrive at a paved road which goes to Passa di Prugno. At the first cross street, marked by a flowerbed of lavenders, follow the path that takes you back to the road fork where the news stand is. From here you return to the point of departure.
Additional information: Along the trail the countryside varies with woods, gypsum, and gullies typical of the Apennines of the Tuscany-Romagna region.
