Itinerary details: Leave from the church Chiesa S. Maria Assunta, and after passing the Senio, a rather steep asphalted street begins. After about 1 km., you will see a fork in the road; go straight towards Via Colombarina and at km. 4 you will be at the Passo del Monte della Vecchia. After a fast descent, you will reach the Casone di S. Andre, where you will encounter various streets. Keep to the one you are on. At km.4.9 you will find an unmistakable path between a big oak tree and a stone wall which has the number “8” painted on it. This unpaved road, where in some places becomes a small path and presents some technical difficulties, takes you in a few minutes to the church of S. Andrea and at the street at the bottom of Sintria, goes up again to arrive at the Azienda Agrituristica Il Poggiolo. Here you turn right for Valdifusa and you go up until you reach Rive del Cerro (m. 604 a.s.l.). After two hair-pin turns going downhill, at km. 14.9 you must carefully look for the unpaved road. From here through ups and downs, you will reach Monte dell’Alberino (m. 523 a.s.l.). At km. 16.1, leave the road, keeping left of the field where you will find a fun descent that passes through Valbianchino, Pastorale and Oriolo. At km. 18.3 you will reach the SS 306 2 km from Casola Valsenio.
Additional information: Typical trail of the Apennines, between Senio and Sintria, around Monte della Vecchia, with long inclines through woods of oak trees and chestnuts, and small cultivated fields.
Itinerary: A 20 km. trail that is not very challenging but has some technically difficult downhill stretches that require some skill.
