Address: The museum is in S. Cassiano, in the Ca di Malanca area.
Museum that collects articles and evidence of the Second World War.
Description: This zone in the high valley of Sintria where you find Ca Malanco evokes the tragic events of October 1944, when the partisan forces of he 36th Garibaldi Brigade were involved in heavy fighting with the Germans. There were heavy losses on both sides and some of the most prestigious commanders of the 36th Brigade were killed. Now only memorial stones and a small Museum of the Resistance are reminders of the terrible days of 1944.Inside the museum you can see a model of the reconstruction of the battle zone, in addition to photos and museum pieces of World War II.
Additional notes: Next to the Museum is another building that has been restored and set up to provide accommodation for groups and tourists. Holidays at Ca di Malanca are open to groups of around twenty persons during the summer months (the spring months are reserved to school excursions), upon request made to ANPI of Faenza. The Museum has publications of documentation and material that describes the territory, the Rio Sintria forest area and proposes excursions in this beautiful area of the Romagnolo Apennines. Of the many trails and mule tracks around Ca' Malanca is the itinerary by the Club Alpino Italiano called the "Sentiero dei Partigiani" (Partisans' trail), over the places that set the stage for the battle of Purocielo.
