Since October 2006 la Rocca houses also the Museum of the Faentine Apennines, which is an important centre for the study, discovery and work in continuous evolution. It is territorial museum and at the same time an information, documentation, conservation and valorisation centre of the historical memory of the territory. It is a museum of time and space: of time because the structure is a testimonial of a historical period that re-evokes the middle ages, transmitting emotions and knowledge, and of space because it represents the territory as a whole, a heritage to be conserved and communicated with all the expressions and signs of work through the centuries. The inside of the Rocca is set up is a special and suggestive way with visual and sound installations and the presence of sculptures that show the peculiarity of territorial history, re-proposing the uses and the defensive characteristics of the fortress. There is also an archaeological section with finds from the area arranged by the Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage of Emilia-Romagna.
