Explaination: The Fontana Vecchia (Old Fountain) which Manfredi had made probably around the year 1492 and placed inside the antique walls, was fed by chalky waters from the nearby spring “della doccia”.Even if by now it is no longer used, the fountain is very dear tothe people of Brisighella who often in the popular literature call it “la fontana di tri sbroff” ( the fountain with three spouts).
