Description: The "Monumento alla Resistenza, alla Liberazione e alla Pace fra i popoli" (monument to the Resistance, Liberation, and Peace for all people) was wanted to remember the importance of Monte Battaglia in the Second World War. The bronze work of Aldo Rontini inaugurated in the spring of 1988 represents David who defeats the giant Goliath, that is the victory of rights and civilisation over the forces of the overwhelming oppression, referring to the victory of the Allied Forces and the partisans against Nazi-Fascism.
