Ingredients: In a saucepan combine one litre of milk, 300 grams of sugar, the grated rind of half an orange or lemon, 70 grams of peeled and chopped almonds, 50 grams of chocolate pieces, 100 grams of chopped candied fruit pieces, a little grated nutmeg, a whole egg and a glass of saba. Boil all these ingredients for a few minutes, stirring continuously, then remove from the heat. In the meantime prepare a short crust pastry with 300 grams of flour, 3 eggs, 150 grams of sugar and the grated rind of half a lemon. Line a greased pie tin with the pastry and pour the mixture in. Dust with sugar and bake in a moderate oven for about 2 hours.
Utensils: A saucepan for boiling all the ingredients, a pie tin, various cutlery.
